The lustre of Rhodizite is Adamantine to Vitreous. Crystals are transparent to translucent but rarely clean enough to consider faceting. With a hardness of 8 or more, Rhodizite is considered to be a relatively hard gemstone but it does posess distinct cleavage. The fracture is conchoidal. Rough crystals are usually well formed and the creamy color along with the distinctive crystal habit make Rhodizite very easy to identify.

Rhodizite is found in Madagascar and Russia, and usually in the presence of Tourmaline. It is a well known mineral/crystal in the metaphysical world. Rhodizite is said to be an amplifier of our thoughts, words, actions, emotions and hence all vibrations in our environment. It is one of the top five healing crystals and said to be a Master Healer that never needs cleaning. Rhodizite absorbs energy direct from our Sun and supposedly retains these solar vibrations within its crystalline matrix. |
